If you want this effect you should already have a Rocky Raccoon.
After the usual antics with Rocky, you "hypnotize" the raccoon so that he will feel no pain. When he is fully under your control, he is placed into the box. The spectators see his head sticking out of the top of the box and his tail from a window in the bottom of the box. Two solid metal blades are pushed through Rocky and his center section is moved completely out of line with his head and his tail! This section is pushed back and the blades removed. Rocky is "awakened" from his "hypnotic trance" and he is removed from the box unharmed.
