The magician removes a card from his pocket and shows it to the spectator to his right who is instructed to memorize the card and not tell anyone what the card is. The spectator to the left of the magician is shown the same card and asked to do the same as the previous spectator. Now the card is placed face down into a card box and the lid is closed. Each spectator is then asked to name the card they saw, but strangely they name different cards! The magician opens the card box to see who is right, but when the card is shown both spectators are seen to be wrong!
