A piece of rope seems to defy gravity by standing on end. Then in an instant, it changes into a silk handkerchief!
 
ROPE TO SILK - 18" SILK (INDIA)
An approximately 16" rope is held in the hands with one end in each hand. The magician now brings the hands together and stretches them apart again. Instantly, in place of the rope is now a nice 18" silk held by the finger tips of one hand!
Nice effect and easy to do although it does not stand alone vertically before the transformation to a silk.
