The performer shows a small teak wooden box with a hinged lid. There is a slot in the lid and a corresponding slot in the bottom of the box. The box is just small enough to hold a piece of glass or plastic as it just fits in the bottom of the box and covers the slot. The box and plastic may be examined. After examination, the square of plastic is placed into the bottom and the lid closed. A half dollar is shown and also passed around for examination. Someone may even put their initials on the coin. The coin is then dropped into the slot in the top of the box and is seen to slowly emerge from the slot in the bottom apparently penetrating the plastic! Again, everything may be handed out for examination.

Nothing is taken away or added at any time.
